After her first child was born, Asma Beghum was afraid of becoming pregnant again before she was ready. However, as part of conservative family in rural India, the 23-year-old didn’t have anyone she could ask about family planning.

Her husband was sure that he, too, was not yet ready for another child. But where could they learn more about preventing an unwanted pregnancy?
