Albertha Nyaku

Nutrition Team Lead

Albertha Nyaku has more than 25 years of public health nutrition experience, including management of large-scale, integrated nutrition and health programs in resource-poor settings in more than 20 countries across sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. Prior to MCSP, Ms. Nyaku was the Senior Nutrition Advisor on the Maximizing the Scaling up Nutrition project, and Africa Regional Advisor for USAID’s Infant & Young Child and Maternal Nutrition Project.

An expert in micronutrient deficiency control, her focus is on anemia and vitamin A deficiency, maternal  nutrition,  infant  and  young  child  nutrition,  integrated  health  systems  development, strategic planning, and management. She has worked collaboratively to develop related toolkits, training manuals, job aids and frameworks. Ms. Nyaku has participated in World Health Organization working groups and is an active member of Core group, the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme, and the Food and Nutrition Service.
